There it goes, you can hardly see it anymore
If you look over your shoulder, you can glimpse the retreating figure
For some its brighter, for some it’s gotten dimmer
For everyone, it makes you think deeper
I wave goodbye
And wipe my eye
Make sure I keep it close, even as it races away,
Its a building block
There goes the speeding clock
Forever please don’t take it away

This is such a good poem! it has great imagery i can really imagine standing there waving goodbye to someone as i wipe away my tears!
